Good morning.

I bought a saber sling in Russia. The cost is 35 dollars plus 10 dollars for shipping and 10 DOLLARS IN CUSTOMS AND TAX FEES.

And here the problem begins.

The shipment arrived in Poland. It sat in the customs office for 2 weeks. After that, VAT and customs duty were added.

To put it simply, I paid customs and tax fees twice.

So I have a question. Who should I demand compensation from? Should I write to eBay or to the seller?

A similar case with double VAT. First, Ebay charged it and then Fedex. Fedex ordered me to pay the tax and to apply to Ebay for a refund of the one already paid. That’s what I did. The claim to Ebay was accepted. Despite several reminders, nothing is happening. They keep citing procedures. More than half a year has already passed. I’ve lost hope of getting anything back (215 zł).
