How to soothe scalp psoriasis
For the past few months I’ve had lesions on my head – flaking, itching, scabs. The dermatologist suspects scalp psoriasis, but isn’t entirely sure – he says it could also be seborrheic dermatitis or something with the hair follicles. Has anyone here had something similar? Any effective remedies to ease this condition?

·10 months agoFrom my experience – any chronic skin change, including on the scalp, can be related to the gut. It’s worth trying a diet that supports the microbiome: vegetables, olive oil, nuts, seeds, fish, seafood. For me, there was a huge improvement after cutting out sugar and white flour. And my scalp stopped reacting so much.

·10 months agoFor scalp psoriasis, you can try tansy oil or cleavers rinses – they have a soothing effect on the skin. For a while calendula ointment helped me, but honestly – only Psorisel gave a lasting effect. Natural methods are okay, but Psorisel works deeper. If you wanted to try it, I use this solution:

·10 months agoTry rinsing your scalp in a potassium permanganate solution – it really helped me with the inflammation. But honestly, in my case it turned out to be psoriasis in the end, just not very clear for a long time. Once I knew what it was, I started using Psorisel and that made the biggest difference – no steroids, and it really soothes and works long term. To start with, maybe the shampoo – it's gentle and effective.
