Hello everyone,
I would like to share with you my experience with the user antond28 (Anton Danil... from California) https://www.ebay.com/usr/antond28 through whom I was robbed of 2500 USD! I won't go into a long story here, but in short it looked like this:
1) He wrote to me saying he was interested in buying the item I was selling
2) He asked how long the shipping would take (at that point I still didn't know that this was very important to him)
3) He bought and paid for the item
3) Right after the deadline delivery day passed (11-23 business days), he opened a case and demanded a refund even though he knew the chairs were already on their way to him because he had received the tracking number and I had informed him about my conversation with the post office (because the delivery took longer than usual).
4) That same day Ebay granted him a full refund, and Mr. Anton Danil... from California picked up my packages after a few days and thus received the item with home delivery for free...
5) After he picked up the packages, I wrote to him asking whether he intended to pay for them or send them back. He replied that he wanted to return them, but that I had to pay for the return shipping upfront 🙂 The brazen jerk wanted to scam me out of the shipping costs too...
I am writing this for everyone as a warning because ebay does not help sellers and did nothing in my case. Of course I won't let this go. I have already spoken with the consumer rights ombudsman, and next week I have an appointment with a lawyer. If anyone reading this post was also scammed by Anton Danil... from California, please contact me.

·1 year agoThere's nothing you can do about it, you have to bite the bullet and move on, you're not able to do anything. I've had a few such situations, fortunately only for amounts in the range of 300-500 usd

·2 years agoI'm sorry this happened to you and I hope you'll be able to recover the loss. Unfortunately, according to the rules, the buyer can open a dispute the day after the delivery deadline passes. This may change, but for now you should post delivery times with a buffer for unpredictable delays. For example, the Chinese state a delivery time of 2, 3 months. Nothing stands in the way of doing something similar
