Purchase intentions
I’m preparing for a conversation with the board about the budget for personalization and want to really understand the mechanics before I walk into the room. I generally know it’s about behavioral signals, time on site, click paths, and so on. But I don’t know how that translates into an actual prediction and what is really a valuable signal versus noise. Can anyone recommend something to read?

Among the signals, the strongest are returning to the product, adding to favorites, comparing variants, and searching for the product phrase within a session — these are really strong intent signals. Time on site alone is a very weak predictor if you don’t know what the user was doing during that time. The clock ticks the same whether someone is reading specs intensely or leaving a tab open and going out for coffee. A good article explaining how technology helps interpret intent more accurately without guessing is here: https://applemobile.pl/koniec-ze-zgadywaniem-intencji-zakupowych-jak-technologia-pomaga-idealnie-trafiac-w-potrzeby-klientow/
