Canceling a shipment in Australia
Hello,
I sent a jacket of considerable value to Australia.
About a month after the sale, the buyer opened a case and eBay refunded him the money.
On top of that, even the selling fee was not refunded to me, which is absolutely crazy and I don't know why eBay handles it this way every time.
Now my question is - is there a possibility that the shipment was not delivered to the recipient and was returned to the sender?
Thank you

·2 years agoUnfortunately, I'm sorry, but you won't receive a commission refund. EBay only refunds commissions if the dispute is resolved without eBay's intervention.
Set the delivery time to e.g. 3 months. The buyer can only open a dispute after the promised delivery period has passed.

·2 years agoHello.
In your case, anything is possible. Australia is a continent where shipments take the longest possible time - everything there goes through quarantine. Delivery time is min 40 days and max 80 days. (approximate numbers) It depends on how you sent it - if the package went by sea, good luck, and if by plane, then you have to wait those 60 days. You have the tracking number, so try to find out where the shipment is - if someone doesn’t pick it up, the shipment will return, but you never know when. You need to communicate with the buyer often, which will save you from such situations.
1. If after a month the BUYER opened a case and eBay refunded the money, then you probably didn’t react quickly enough to the situation.
2. Write to eBay and explain the situation that you did not receive the fee refund.
3. You need to check yourself whether the shipment was delivered - always send it as priority registered mail!!! then the buyer has to confirm receipt, otherwise they will not receive the shipment. The package will return, but you never know when.
