Refund for the wrong item

Good morning,
On 15.08 I ordered one item on eBay.com.. On 18.09 I received the item, but it was completely different from the one I ordered. I reported the return to the seller.. the seller is from China. Apparently he mixed up the orders. Here he asks me to send it from my side to another buyer and that person is supposed to send me my item back + he offers to cover the shipping costs.. this doesn’t really add up for me. I wrote that that’s not an option. Then he asks me to cancel the return from my side and he’ll just refund me, because it would have a bad effect on his account (from what I understood from what he wrote).. I understand that if I cancel the return on my side, I’ll no longer have any certainty that I’ll get my money back. In that case, won’t I be able to open a refund request again?

·2 years agoYou’re right, if you close the dispute, you won’t be able to reopen it a second time.
So accept the refund.
