Purchase on ebay.de for a company in Poland - payment in net amount

Is it possible on ebay.de to pay the net amount, without charged VAT, when buying for a company registered in Poland and actively VAT-registered?
The account is registered on ebay.pl for a company, the Polish tax ID is registered.
However, when making a transaction, I do not see the excl. MwSt. option.
In this case, does the transaction have to be arranged with the seller each time?
Does the seller then have an obligation to refund the MwSt if the payment was made in the gross amount?

·3 years agoI just got a response from eBay saying they’re having some issues with VAT deduction and will refund my overpayment.

I took the screenshots while logged in as a company. As you can see, on the German eBay the price is clearly shown with VAT, and on the Polish one there is no information at all. If it's as you say, then despite the purchase being intra-EU, they didn't deduct VAT on the Polish site. The net price magically went up by 19%.

·3 years agoAnd one more thing, the same item at the eBay.pl address has no information about MwSt, while on the eBay.de page it already says it’s included. And the amount is the same.
When buying from Poland, does the price magically go up by German tax?

·3 years agoThe price is shown with tax only after logging in because only then is it known what country the buyer is from and what tax eBay will charge them.

·3 years agoWhen I’m logged in as a company, do I see the net or gross amount? I’m sure I paid the same amount that was shown in the offer. But why, after logging out (so eBay shouldn’t recognize me as a business and theoretically as a private person), did the price stay the same, when it should have been 23% higher with VAT?
How can I tell when the amount shown is net and when it’s gross? I feel like they’re pulling a fast one on us.
Now the seller says they have nothing to do with it and it’s on eBay’s side, and eBay says that since there was no 23% VAT line at checkout, that means VAT was not added.
It looks like I’ll end up paying German and Polish VAT.
