The seller canceled the sale, despite my winning bid. Here's the situation:

The situation is like this:
I’m a Pole living in the UK and using ebay.co.uk and PayPal — all the addresses are UK, etc. I won the auction, and then a few hours later the seller cancelled my purchase, claiming that I’m outside the UK and that my account is in PL and that he won’t sell it to me, etc. A few messages to eBay later, they’re a bit too soft about it, saying I should sort it out with him, show him again that I’m in the UK, etc. The guy still says flat out that I’m not in the UK. Of course I wrote to him (politely) that this is already bordering on racism, and that he definitely got my English address (besides, if I had used a PL address, I wouldn’t have been able to take part in the auction). And eBay is international — it doesn’t matter where I was born or where I set up my account. I’m in England, I live, work, and pay taxes just like him. After 1 day he already tried to sell the same item again — I reported it to ebay.co.uk and ebay.pl - the auction disappeared (success). Twice I sent him the money on PayPal, he sends the money back and in the comment writes that the sale was cancelled, etc.
What should I do? I want the item I won. It seems to me that he’s not happy with the price and is scheming as much as he can....
PS: how on earth was he able to cancel the sale of this item?

·3 years agoThey do whatever they want. This is already the second auction they’ve shut down for me 15 seconds before the end, and the auction immediately pops up again. Clearly, that’s not the price they were expecting.
