Hermes shipping, i.e. shipments from Germany to Poland

Hello community. On German eBay I won 3 auctions and for quite some time I had been waiting for the items to be delivered. The first parcel was sent to me on September 13 (incidentally, 13 days after payment via PayPal) and was not delivered because the courier allegedly could not deliver it to the recipient, so it went back to the seller in Germany.

I didn’t receive any notification by phone, email, or any paper document as is usually the case with domestic courier deliveries. Customer service refuses to provide exact information, e.g. about which Polish courier handled the shipment, and they also claim they work with different companies and send buyers to them for information. What makes it even worse is that practically all day there is someone at home (my wife takes care of our tiny child).

Today I got information from another seller that Hermes tried to deliver my parcel but found nobody there; of course, just like before, there was no notification to me about anything whatsoever.

I opened disputes on PayPal, but it looks like the sellers are innocent here; Hermes is the one messing things up, and that’s who they send the parcels with in bulk.

What do you advise doing next in this matter? I’ve spent almost 2,000 zł on purchases with shipping, of which about 35% are shipping costs.

I had the same thing too, but with DHL.... exactly the same....the courier sent the goods back because supposedly no one was home (while I was on vacation), and UPS (also from Germany) instead of delivering to the address writes that no one was there and the goods end up at an Access Point....

Hi, I have the same problem. On 13.12.2023 I sent 3 packages from Munich with Hermes and to this day there’s been zero response or information about where they are? Every day I get that I should go back, but after a few days it says the tracking number is wrong or to provide who sent it, and every time I get something different and I don’t know what to do? Can the police help?
