PayPal account top-up - problem and warning - as a cautionary tale
Summary: The discussion addressed problems with topping up a PayPal account, highlighting the need for caution in such transactions. neo728i shared their experience, and guangxi_hone replied briefly without adding any new information.
Hello
I want to share with you a situation that happened to me
On April 15, 2025, I topped up my PayPal (as always) from the linked account with an amount of 200 PLN
To this day I still don't have that money in my PayPal account (but the next transfer for 50 PLN already arrived)
PayPal claims there is no such transaction, and on April 14-15, 2025, as they themselves stated, they had an outage.
The account linked to PayPal is Santander.
So I called Santander to get clarification, and since PayPal has accounts at Santander, it was an internal transfer. As Santander stated, the transfer left them, and what's more, they can see that it arrived and is on the PayPal account, but it has not been approved by them.
PayPal asked me to send all documents, meaning statements and the whole transaction. They received all the documents.
However, they stated that they can't see this top-up, and in their message to me they said it's not their fault, that they can't see this transfer and can't find it, and that I should contact my bank and sort it out.
PATHOLOGY = PAYPAL
How can someone be such a **bleep** as to state the above?
My hands are falling off and I'm still fighting this sick PayPal.
Treat this as a warning

·1 year agoI'm already on the 3rd day waiting for the client's payment to come in. Usually it took 1 day. I think they “improved” something without notifying users. I suspect interference from artificial intelligence. We have to wait. Patience and hope are the only things we have left, I'm afraid
