[beginner] 2023 How to pay for a purchase without a credit card? Like Allegro? Online payments?

As in the subject - Ebay tells me to add a credit card. I don't have one. How else can I pay for purchases? Like on Polish portals - will it redirect me to some online payments? I have a Paypal account, but Ebay says it can't be linked with the ebay account (...something like that, I won't quote it).

Thanks in advance for help for a newbie 🙂

Sellers can't link PayPal with eBay because now eBay controls all finances. Buyers can, of course, pay with PayPal. I'm afraid that to set up a PayPal account, a card is required. You can also pay from a bank account. eBay offers this option at checkout.

1. I have a Paypal account. 2. If eBay offers an online payment option, that basically takes care of my issue. Thank you for your reply. If there are any problems - then of course I won't hesitate to get back here again 🙂 Best regards!

And when you pay with PayPal, does the required amount have to be there in advance, or can PayPal send you to the bank’s site on the fly, you pay exactly the amount needed, and then it’s done?
