Refunding the buyer contrary to the actual facts
Summary: horses_poland reported a problem related to issuing a refund to a buyer that did not match the actual situation.
Unfortunately, for the first time I have to try to seek help.
A user from Spain bought a non-working iMac from me; everything was described in detail, what and how.
Item sent, received, no response for several days.
After a few days, he says something doesn’t suit him, there’s some kind of mismatch, parts of it won’t be useful to him.
So I write that he bought it according to the description.
He opened a case, eBay of course refunded him the money and blocked mine.
I write to the guy asking for the item to be returned in the condition it was received, and he tells me that will be a problem because the display is damaged and something else too.
So I write a rebuttal to eBay, send screenshots of the correspondence, and they stubbornly say no. That the refund is for the buyer and that’s the end of it.
What initial steps, if any, legal ones can be taken.
