Shopping on ebay. com from PL

Please help. What is eBay messing up now with purchases in the US. The last time I bought something from ebay.com was over 3-4 years ago when PP was the operator - what is going on now that I can't make a payment with a debit card from a USD account, a multi-currency credit card, or via Google Pay. The cards are active, have an ePIN assigned for online transactions, there are funds in the account, so what is going on?? I'm trying to pay for items in USD. When I try to pay, I get the message: "use a different card or check your balnce" - and if ebay.com sees that I'm from PL, does it automatically reject payment in USD, wanting to force payment in PLN and currency conversion, on which eBay additionally makes money??? - nothing else comes to mind.
Please help.
