Hello, I bought an item from Italy, but unfortunately the package never reached me. The package was sent, but I think the Italian post must have lost it somewhere because it never arrived in Poland. What does the situation with a refund look like? Will I get a refund only for the product, or will I also get back what I paid for shipping, because the amount wasn't small; besides, why should I bear any losses in this case? Has anyone had a similar situation?

·3 years agoListen to me, little newbie with practically zero shopping experience. There are no lost/misplaced shipments - there are only stolen ones (unless the plane or ship carrying the parcels on board crashed) or ones held up in customs for a long time. Various factors can contribute to delivery delays. Did you get the shipment number for tracking? Poste Italiane tracking is very accurate (one of the best in Europe) and integrated with Poczta Polska tracking. Post the shipment number here - someone (maybe me when I have a free moment) will check your version of events.
I have similar situations, but the other way around (as a seller) - various sly foreigners try to extort money from me for items supposedly not delivered, which simply arrive to them late. I have a lot of experience on eBay proving that shipments are, for example, waiting to be picked up at a foreign post office.
