Additional costs from Japan

I want to buy electronics from Japan. It shows a cost of over 230 US, which is over 1000 zł. It says shipping is free. I can buy from a private person or from a company. What additional costs should I expect? Is it better to buy from a company or from a private person?

It doesn't matter whether you buy from a company or from a private person. At the border you'll probably pay VAT. Up to 150 Euro there is no customs duty. If they charge it, the duty will be minimal on that amount.

I’d buy it wherever it’s cheaper if it’s the same item, as long as it has free shipping. Border fees are paid to the courier. No need to go anywhere.
