I feel cheated by eBay

Hello
Has anyone had a similar problem with the service
I bought an item in the States that never reached me due to the negligence and laziness of our postal service.
I filed a refund request on the service for the item not received.
The item returned to the sender, the service apparently did not check this and issued a decision not to grant a refund because according to them it shows as delivered, but not to me — it went back to the sender.
I haven't come across this kind of handling before.
I have neither the item nor the money.
Does anyone have any idea how to get the money back?
Regards
Rafał

·3 years agoExactly, all they care about is making money. That’s how it is with most shopping portals. At first, for a few years, it’s fine, and then they squeeze users. Some extra services and no help at all if problems come up. After a few years of good cooperation, eBay successfully cured me of wanting to buy from abroad. An expensive lesson — but a lesson.

OP3 years agoExactly.
While the Pitney Bowes program was in place (or however you spell it), shipments arrived within 2 weeks and without complications, but once Ebay took over shipping, it’s a disaster — at least 4 weeks for the shipment to “go” and this is the result.

·3 years agoI have the same thing, to put it mildly the Polish post didn’t fulfill its duty - or rather the mail carrier just blew it off. But the shipment was sent back to the USA and eBay doesn’t care - even though they have tracking numbers - they charge for shipping from the USA but don’t feel any responsibility. The buyer protection program is a sham.

Unfortunately, that’s how eBay works, in a simplified way. All that’s left is to write to the seller, but only once.
Legal action makes no sense when it comes to small amounts.
