Buying property in Spain for investment purposes
I'm looking at Spain from an investment perspective, I want to buy an apartment that will earn money from short-term rentals through Airbnb. Which locations have the greatest rental potential and where do regulations not block short-term rentals?

·1 week agoThis is an important issue because the regulations regarding short-term rentals in Spain vary greatly between regions and have recently been tightening in many places, which directly affects the profitability of the investment. Barcelona has almost completely blocked new short-term rental licenses, so buying there for Airbnb could be a problem. The Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands have a regulated but still functioning short-term rental market. Costa del Sol has relatively friendly regulations, but they are changing too, so before buying it’s worth checking the current state of the rules for the specific municipality, because the regulations are at the municipal level, not the national level
