EBAY's thieving practices
Summary: The discussion centers around negative experiences with eBay, described as "Złodziejskie praktyki," suggesting unethical or unfair practices. Participants share their concerns and frustrations, though specific details or examples of these practices are not provided in the conversation.
Dear Ebay refunded the buyer’s money because they opened a dispute claiming they did not receive the shipment on time.
Ebay refunded the buyer for the purchase, and about 3 days later the buyer received the shipment from us, which of course they picked up. The buyer is not responding to our messages, and dear `ebay has completely turned its back on us.
It has blocked all claim, complaint, and buyer report channels with the attitude of, - "figure it out yourselves, we don’t give a damn".
Does anyone have any solution or idea for this thieving behavior by Ebay?!
I would be grateful for any advice, any idea for a solution to this crap. I’m down over 800,-
Has anyone considered filing a lawsuit against `ebay (class action) for using such thieving practices?
Best regards.

·1 year agoGenerally, for me eBay as a whole is a scam. I messed around with it a few years ago and out of a dozen-odd packages bought/sent, really about 30-40% were bad purchases/sales or just had issues. I thought I was just that unlucky, but after reading comments here and elsewhere I realized that buying and selling on eBay is a bit like gambling - you can gain, but you can also lose. In short, for me it really isn’t worth it.
And if someone already scams you out of a specific amount, I recommend seeking an opinion here https://legaltorun.pl/

·2 years agoIt's the same old buyer trick
They claim the item is not as described those idiots at eBay give them a full refund and then make you pay extra for the return.
That old Canadian jerk got me too
He has both the money and the item
You need to report it to the police
Canadian
And eBay and the jerk
I’ll do that tomorrow

·4 years agoIt’s a tough case, but in the future I recommend choosing a shipping option with a courier where the delivery time shown is definitely longer than it really is, but in the auction description write that shipping will be faster. Some time ago a COMPANY from Canada ripped me off for 2200 USD in a very similar way. I wrote, I called, and it didn’t help. I even begged, but they were heartless. I reported the case through a special form regarding internet fraud in Canada, and then I went on Google Maps and left them a bad review. I described everything calmly and truthfully - step by step, because I had the impression they were psychopaths and that they could still do something to hurt me. And they did hurt me - look at the attachment. On Google Maps I was practically run over by bad reviews, the same on industry sites, and my eBay account also got a few negatives (they made purchases from other accounts just to destroy me). On top of that, emails and phone calls like the one in the attachment. There was no way to defend myself. The police in Canada didn’t help either. My complaints were not accepted because I am not Canadian and for a few other reasons. In the end I made a deal with the psychopathic customer that I would remove the negative review from Google and other sites, and then they would return the item to me. I was already tired, I apologized to them and humbled myself. I was just a little surprised why they were actually returning the item to me after about 3 weeks, but they wouldn’t answer. The case was closed in their favor anyway - they had both the money and the item. The item was worth 22000 USD and weighed 8kg. I arranged the return through DHL. The return shipping was quite expensive... but oh well. After receiving the package I was speechless. There was some bent piece of some metal bracket, some junk worth zero. They fooled me a second time. I lost the money, the item, and paid for an empty package (I even bought insurance). That’s not the end of this story yet, but that’s enough to show that you should be very careful and not get into arguments with customers. The seller has to apologize right away, bow their head, and repeat that the customer is always right.
