Smoking pit — which one to choose
I'm starting my adventure with smoking, and I chose the electric route with a smoke generator because I want control over the process and not have to sit by the fire. A question for someone who has such a device: can you use different kinds of wood chips, alder, beech, cherry and so on, or is there some limitation? And does the flavor actually differ noticeably depending on the wood?
