Ventilation gap and sheathing
Somehow it turned out that while insulating the facade, I forgot about the ventilation gap under the cladding. The styrofoam was laid all the way to the end and everything was tightly sealed. I probably won’t be able to make a even gap now.
I’m thinking about two options:
– perforating the fascia board
– cutting an opening in the first board of the cladding
Which of these solutions would be better? Roof without eaves. Maybe you have another idea?

·1 year agoIn this situation, the safest approach would probably be to cut into the first board of the boarding to create a real ventilation gap – perforating the fascia board may not provide enough airflow area, and in any case it all depends on the cross-section. If the roof has no eaves, ventilation becomes even more important – it may be worth considering, for example, using trapezoidal sheet metal, because with this kind of construction it is easier to ensure proper airflow while also reducing the risk of dampness: https://pokrycia.pl/blacha-trapezowa
