Will a scissor lift be suitable for work in a hall?
Hi, I need a lift for work in a hall, mainly for installing lighting and doing some small repairs near the ceiling. I know there are different types, but I have no idea whether a regular boom lift or a scissor lift would work better. I care about stability, because I don't want to risk swaying around at the top. If anyone has dealt with both, I'd love to hear which one works better.

·1 year agoIf you want to work in a warehouse and stability matters to you, a scissor lift will be a lot better than a boom lift. Scissor lifts have a larger platform area, so you can stand on them more securely and often fit some tools or even a second person. They don’t have the same reach as boom lifts, but if you’re working straight up, it should be okay. Besides, some models are electric, so there’s no problem with exhaust emissions in an enclosed space. If you have a level surface in the warehouse, this kind of lift will work well, but if there are any steps or uneven spots, it’s better to ask about a specific model, because not every one is suitable. And then there’s the height issue – check whether a given model will reach the level you need, because the differences between them are pretty big.
