Civil law studies
Hey, I’m in my first year of law school and I’m having a pretty big problem with studying civil law. There’s so much of it, definitions, case scenarios, commentaries – it’s easy to get lost in all of that. Do you have any tried-and-true ways of studying? How do you learn all this and not lose your mind?

·1 year agoCivil law is indeed extensive, but you can master it if you approach studying the right way. First of all, it’s worth studying systematically, because there’s too much material to leave until the last minute. Mind maps and diagrams work well, as they help you understand the relationships between the provisions. Practice is also very important – read case studies and try to solve them on your own. Remember that the code is your basic tool – don’t memorize the provisions, just train yourself to apply them.
