Metal hardness meters
I'm looking around for a metal hardness tester with dynamic measurement - something portable, but with decent accuracy. I've looked through various options and came across a category of such devices on viateco. Has anyone tested any of these models?

·1 year agoDynamic measurements are especially convenient in the field or where there’s no way to prepare a sample for a classic test. Devices in this category have different levels of sophistication – at https://viateco.eu/category/sprzedaz/metale/twardosc/metoda-dynamiczna/ there are several options you can compare. Pay attention to how the results are displayed, what resolution they have, and which hardness scales they support – some allow conversion between Vickers, Brinell, Rockwell, etc., which can be helpful. Something with internal memory or the ability to export results will definitely come in handy. Overall, for field work it’s pretty decent technology, you just have to remember to prepare the surface properly.
