Lighting strips
I'm planning to install LED lighting under the ceiling in the living room. I've seen these nice backlit setups where the light comes out from behind the trim and gives that floating ceiling effect. How is it done technically and what kind of trim is needed for it? I don't want it to look cheap...

·10 months agoYou need special lighting mouldings that have a hidden space for LED strip. It’s important that the moulding is properly designed with a groove or chamber for the LED and has a light-reflecting element; otherwise, the individual diode points will be visible. Installation involves sticking the moulding to the wall right under the ceiling with the right gap so the light can reflect off the ceiling. The LED strip should have the right color temperature: warm white gives a cozy vibe, while cool white is more modern. A good power supply and dimmer will let you adjust the lighting intensity. You can paint the moulding the same color as the wall so it blends in, or leave it white as a decorative element. The effect is really impressive, especially in the evening when you turn on this lighting. It’s important that the moulding is made of a good material that won’t crack and will keep a straight line. Check out the range of lighting mouldings at https://dwdecor.pl/listwy-oswietleniowe where they have mouldings specially designed for LED with the right parameters; build quality really matters with this kind of installation.
