Maintenance of industrial machines
Hello, we deal with the maintenance and repair of older industrial machines. Often when dismantling them it turns out that the bolts and nuts are so corroded that they have to be replaced. The problem is that these machines have different standards, different thread types, sometimes metric, sometimes imperial. We need a supplier who has a really wide selection and will help choose suitable replacements. Do you have any tried-and-tested sources?

·9 months agoWith older machines, choosing the right components can indeed be complicated. The most important thing is that the supplier has a wide range and knows their stuff. As for metric nuts, here you have the standard DIN 934: https://www.nycz.pl/produkty/nakretka-szesciokatna-din-934/ - that's the most popular standard. It's worth contacting the technical department of such a supplier directly and discussing your needs; they should help you choose the right replacements. When maintaining old machines, it's also crucial to have the option of ordering smaller quantities of different sizes, because you never know what you'll need. A good supplier should understand that and offer flexible packaging. It's also worth asking about the products' technical documentation - with old machines, sometimes you have to check everything carefully for compatibility.
