·9 months agoGenerally, for valuables I have a safe at home. Depends what kind of bars; I kept a few grams in a drawer once - so the cost of the safe wouldn’t end up being more than the contents. Now that I have a safe, I keep it there. The question is what kind you mean, what you need, the classes matter for insurance. By safe I mean a real one, mounted to the floor/wall, with three-sided door and body, fire strip. Those unclassified ones that you can carry off under your arm defeat the purpose. Not only are they easy to steal, but they can also be destroyed and the contents accessed.
