How much do cleaning services cost
Summary: uni-129002 is asking about experiences with hiring domestic help. They’re wondering what incomes families have that decided to take this step and what their family situations are. They’re planning to hire someone to clean once a week after returning to work from maternity leave, but they’re running into resistance from their husband, who считает it an unnecessary luxury. Even so, they point out that they can afford it with a household income of 20,000 a month for a family of 2+2.
Question for people who hire domestic help.
What are your household incomes? Do both parents work, and how many children do you have that hiring domestic help made sense for you?
I’d like to hire someone for cleaning and some small household chores once a week when I go back to work after maternity leave, but my husband (being naturally frugal) keeps repeating that he doesn’t know people who hire a cleaner and that it’s so bourgeois. I think it would be hard for us to function without it. As for finances, we can afford it (income of about 20k a month, family of 2+2). What have your experiences been?
