Adjustable-height desk and work comfort
I started getting back pain after sitting at the computer for a long time, and a friend recommended a height-adjustable desk. Honestly, I’ve never used anything like that before, and I’m wondering if it isn’t just a bit of overhyped trend. Does changing positions throughout the day really make that much of a difference? And what about the durability of these mechanisms — after a year, won’t something start creaking or getting stuck?

·1 year agoFrom my own experience, I can say that changing positions really makes a difference — it’s not just about comfort, but also about the fact that you’re less likely to “freeze up” in one position and you can concentrate better. As for durability – a lot depends on the manufacturer. I came across a desk like this here: https://deerhorn.pl/kategoria-produktu/biurka/biurka-z-regulacja/ and after more than a year everything still works like new. The electric mechanism runs smoothly, the top doesn’t bend, and the wood looks really solid too. It’s not the cheapest solution, but if you work every day, it’s worth thinking about.
