Warning! Phishing emails
We recently received reports about a phishing campaign that abuses the Team Access invitation feature on eBay.
These messages are sent from eBay’s official sender address, which makes them seem especially trustworthy. The invitation contains a link leading to an external website where users are asked to provide personal data.
Remember the following rules:
Do not provide personal or banking details through links contained in such emails.
If you receive a suspicious email, forward it as an attachment to:
○ spoof@ebay.de (re. eBay Germany)
○ spoof@ebay.com (other countries)
eBay accounts that have so far been identified as being used to send Team Access invitations have already been suspended. We continue to closely monitor the situation and thank you for your vigilance and cooperation.
If you ever have doubts about whether an email really comes from eBay, ask first before clicking any link or providing your details.
Thank you for your support!
