Was I robbed by eBay?
Please help, experienced sellers.
I had a problem with a buyer who claimed that the electric module I sold him to repair the folding mirrors doesn’t work in his car. Leaving aside the fact that the module is most likely fine and there is some other fault causing the mirror folding not to work. The buyer didn’t contact me about this, he just immediately filed a return and demanded a return label. I had no way to provide him with one, so I asked the buyer to send it back at his own expense, and I would refund the return shipping once I received the item. I received no response. After four days, eBay refunded the buyer £20 (the value of the module + postage) and stated that the buyer does not have to return the item. The appeal did nothing. It’s a small amount, but I felt robbed by eBay. Have you had cases like this? What did I do wrong? Or how should I handle it differently? I’m asking so I can avoid something similar in the future
