Refund to the customer
The client requested a refund an hour ago . I want to refund it. We’ve agreed. I have funds in the bank account linked to eBay. But after pressing the function " Refund now" I only get a blank white small rectangle in the middle of the screen. I suspect the next steps should be shown there.
And I have no idea what I’m doing wrong.
Does it mean that I need to wait longer before making this refund?

OP2 years agoI couldn't pay by card, I paid from that ebay account after the amount from the current sale came in there
you can't work it out with ebay on this matter, because they play games like they do and nothing comes of it.
I do mine, they do theirs automatically
As for the IT guy I turned to for help, who traced the efforts, he concluded that the problem lies on my bank's side
in plain English - the browser informs that the settings the site itself requested, that ebay, cause the browser not to load the so-called resource, i.e. the content for that white window.
I should add that I tried to pay from three different devices, including one that was even on different software. The IT guy ruled out a problem with my browser or device
O
and in cdn I am starting to communicate with customer support at the bank
I’m continuing this story here because maybe someone will have a similar problem one day - so if I manage to explain it, maybe it will be helpful in the future.

OP2 years agoeBay replied to me, as always they were nice but also actually helpful this time.
I mean, I don’t know how it’ll turn out because for now I still can’t make a return
So far I’ve figured out that the bank account linked to eBay is there, but for payouts from eBay. It’s just a regular account, with no overdraft. I have to add a credit card option in the settings so I can sort out issues like this if I don’t have funds in the eBay account itself.
I mean, for now I linked a card but I think I’m doing something wrong because I still can’t pay with it
:)) but I already wrote to eBay about this
I thought one linked account would be enough to handle claims; that was my conclusion after people here wrote out of concern that eBay might take money from a bank account after those changes on their side, meaning eBay ending cooperation with PayPal. Well, in my case it couldn’t, even though I basically begged them to.
