WE ARE CHANGING THE WAY VAT IS CALCULATED - Ebay
Hello.
Today I received an email from eBay regarding a change in the way VAT is charged on sales outside the EU, and that I have not yet provided my tax ID number with the country code. How should I understand this? What if I am on lump-sum taxation and am not a VAT payer?

·10 years agoif you're not on "vat" then all the services for which ebay issues you an invoice get 23% more expensive for you
The question remains "how to live" when everything is getting more expensive...

OP10 years agoSo there isn't an added 23% on this Ebay invoice? After all, it says on it: "New charges Includes savings from promotions and the applicable VAT rate in Poland." When being on a lump-sum tax, do you not add the NIP number at all? Ebay support isn't really able to answer me.

·10 years agoIf you didn't enter your Polish NIP on your account, you get an invoice with VAT already added, so de facto we're paying it. Recently my accountant attacked me saying I have to register for VAT-9, I'll get a PL number, and then even though I'm also on lump-sum taxation, I'll be receiving invoices from eBay at NET prices and I'll have to account for the VAT myself. Because the truth is that nobody knows what happens to what we pay... Does anyone know anything more about this issue?? What are we supposed to do?

·1 year agoWhere can I enter the NIP / VAT EU? I don't see an option to enter a VAT number anywhere in the settings or when placing an order, and as a result I'll effectively end up paying 23% twice when importing something from the States...
