Summons from the tax office regarding VAT9M
Summary: butterfly-shade initiated a discussion about receiving a notification from the tax office concerning VAT-9M. shadoki responded to the thread, but no further details were provided in their exchange.
Hello,
I received a notice from the tax office regarding past years when I was on lump-sum taxation, about a discrepancy between the total amount from VAT9M and the total amount from EU statements, i.e. from eBay. I know it concerns taxation of eBay services (the fee for the store and sales commissions), but if I ran sales through the cash register with eBay commission and paid lump-sum tax on that, I don’t understand why I should now pay VAT9M tax again. eBay issues 0% invoices and now I have a problem figuring out how to settle this retroactively, because it doesn’t make sense for me to pay double tax now. Can anyone help with this, or advise how to approach it? Or have you had similar situations? I’ll add that the tax office is contacting me in the notice about 2021, and back then I applied while on lump-sum taxation for an EU VAT ID because eBay wanted that. Best regards
shadoki
·2 years agoI don't envy you. You probably won't find out here, because people who know about these topics either don't look here or can't be bothered to write. Those who would like to answer, on the other hand, don't have the knowledge. If you want to approach the subject seriously and professionally, consult one of the advisory firms. I want to enter the American market and I'm going to have a video consultation with such a company. They charge £100 an hour. Hopefully it will end after one hour 😄
