Sales from China, VAT collection

Hello

I noticed that eBay sometimes charges 23% VAT. Does anyone know what selling looks like now, say shipping from China to a customer in the EU - if VAT is already paid in the item price. Does eBay in such a case charge VAT again in the fees?

eBay charges VAT or another tax according to the shipping address. If they charge the tax again at the border, eBay will refund it upon presentation of proof of payment.
