Hey, I’ve got a bit of a puzzle... So, some time ago I decided to sell a working computer for parts and listed everything on eBay.de. Since I don’t have a company and I’m only on eBay occasionally, for obvious reasons I’m a private seller. I mark everything as private sale and no returns. The gear was tested and carefully packed. No one had reported any problems, until now... On June 26 a guy bought one part from me, left positive feedback saying everything was great, and only now, after about 3 weeks, he writes to me that the item is defective and wants to return it. In the product description I clearly stated that I do not accept returns. What can I do in this situation? On top of that, after the purchase he dragged his feet for a good few days with the transfer because he explained that he had only just created the account and was waiting for verification, wrote some nonsense, but in the end he completed the transaction. Now I’m thinking about some sensible reply, because I don’t intend to accept a return of something he could have broken himself. Seriously, after 3 weeks he’s only reporting a problem? Any suggestions? Any eBay experts here?

·2 years agoHi,
I also have a problem with a dispute with eBay. Two years ago I sold a new original product to a customer from the USA. 3 weeks after receiving the package, he opened a dispute claiming that the product was lighter in the photos than in real life, attaching fake photos. eBay told me to accept the return and pay the shipping costs. The buyer demanded $700 from me, even though the product was sold for $1300 with shipping included. Of course I disagreed, which ended with support granting the buyer a refund. For the time being I disconnected my cards and account, so they didn’t take money from the account and only a negative balance appeared. After some time they blocked the account on the site and sent reminders. A week ago they threatened debt collection.
What can I do about this? I’m afraid that if they hand the case over to a debt collection company from Poland, they will file a case in court and the court will issue an enforcement order and automatically take money from my account without my participation.
Thanks!
Tomek
