Does heat recovery in an apartment make sense?
Hey, has anyone installed heat recovery ventilation in an apartment? I have a 70 m² apartment and I'm wondering if it's even worth it, or if that's more of a solution for single-family homes?

·1 year agoI have a single Eberg heat recovery ventilator in the bedroom. It helped with the moisture problem a lot! It’s a bit colder in that room because of it, but it’s not a disaster. I recommend it

·1 year agoHi, heat recovery ventilation in an apartment can make sense, especially if you have a problem with humidity, stuffiness, or outside noise (since you don’t need to open the windows as much). Of course, in smaller spaces the difference in energy costs won’t be as spectacular as in single-family houses, but the air comfort is really noticeable. With heat recovery ventilation, you don’t have to open the windows to air things out, which is great, especially in winter or if you live by a busy street. For me, heat recovery ventilation works perfectly – the air is fresh, and on top of that there’s much less dust, because the filters catch pollen. I think it’s worth at least checking out the options.
