Problem with a refund from eBay

Hi, I have a bit of a problem. The buyer ordered an item from me. He claimed that he had not received the shipment. I refunded him the item amount of 300 pounds through eBay in a dispute (yes, I know I refunded him too quickly, but I didn’t want to ruin my feedback). Then the tracking updated and it was delivered. At this point the customer has the item and the refund. I’ve written to eBay about this many times asking them to reverse the item refund, but they have some completely clueless people working there who probably don’t understand my problem, or are pretending not to understand. Is there any chance of getting this amount back? The buyer is silent...

The matter, in my opinion, is lost. Any legal proceedings make no economic sense if they’re even possible at all. Treat it as a lesson for the future.
