Double currency conversion despite payment in PLN
Please let me know if someone can explain to me why eBay, even though the buyer paid in PLN, converted it to euros and then back to PLN? The loss from the double currency conversion is significant. Of course, the questions sent to eBay on this matter remain unanswered!

·2 years agoPoland is part of the European Union, and although the currency in our wonderful country is the Polish złoty, we are settled in euros (in the case of sales on eBay.pl). Quote from the user agreement:
"The user residing in:
the European Union enters into an agreement with eBay GmbH, headquartered at Albert-Einstein-Ring 2-6, 14532 Kleinmachnow, Germany."
In the case of sales on eBay.com (the US dollar reigns here), the currency conversion is more complicated USD-EUR-PLN. Thanks to this, the tie-wearers and chicks from banks and corporations who have never done any real work in their lives have cash, e.g. for apartments in Spain or brand-new Maseratis (they make money on currency conversion).
Additionally, the Tax Office will squeeze the next extortion payment from us - the sellers (if someone sells at least 30 items in a year). If someone sells some trinket here once in a blue moon, they can sleep soundly, unless that trinket is worth 2000 EUR. eBay has been better before.
