Sales tax - USA only?
Good morning, I’m wondering if the sales tax only applies to the buyer when we sell an item to someone from the USA? How does it work with the UK or Europe? Also, in the summary, does the buyer have to pay sales tax?

·8 months agoYes, they add tax to everyone according to the delivery address.
As a seller, in the transaction details, you have it itemized. The total amount the buyer paid (price, shipping, taxes, duties) is shown to calculate the commission they deduct from your income, then they subtract duties and taxes.

OP8 months agoOkay, but does this “sales tax” count toward unregistered business activity, because supposedly the total is visible in the summary, so it should, but that probably isn’t income? Please reply

·8 months agoIn the summary they give the payout amount where the tax is deducted (after adding it first in order to calculate the commission).
in some situations the buyer can deduct sales tax, but that should be worked out with their accountant.
the seller pays income tax on the amount paid out, meaning after deductions
