They don’t read emails with understanding; only bots reply
Summary: pyciek expresses frustration that responses to emails appear to be generated by bots and lack understanding of the actual content.
I sent the item to a guy from Canada. After just 2 weeks, he opened a case saying he hadn’t received the item, even though he perfectly well knows how long regular shipping across the ocean takes (and the guy didn’t pay for express).
And what did eBay do? It instantly decided that since there was no tracking update, it had already refunded him, while the shipment is still sitting in a container in Canada because there’s been a postal strike since November 15!! And it’ll turn out that instead of 4 weeks, the shipment will take 3 months. And eBay doesn’t take that into account at all and is threatening collections.
They reply by copy-pasting canned responses, they don’t verify the information being sent.
Does anyone know an email address where you can write, attaching the original info from the carriers, because all those contacts on the site don’t allow that.
