Recommended priority mail - new rates from January 1, 2026
Summary: The discussion revolves around the new tariff rates for priority registered letters, which are set to take effect from January 1, 2026. Hi. I send small items as parcels worldwide with Poczta Polska as priority registered letters.
Recently I got information that the post office will allow only documents to be sent this way.
At the moment the cheapest parcel to the USA costs 92 zł... I can't imagine such a tariff.
The question is, has anyone else heard about this?
Will new rates be introduced for mini parcels?

·8 months agoFor now only global experss, even the prints are the same as in registered letters, only the price has changed.
All of this is being done for the German market, cutting out the competition from Poland... Our goods will already be less competitive...

·9 months agoyesterday I asked at the post office what the situation would be from the New Year and I quote, "you know, we know nothing. But for sure everything outside Poland will be sent only by Global and parcels." and as for the USA, still nothing is known.
So from what I understand, registered letters with goods to Europe can be forgotten about. That leaves Global where it still works, twice as expensive as registered letters or priority parcels.
And unfortunately I don't see any other alternative right now for goods under 1kg and of lower value. Does anyone have any other ideas?

·9 months agohello; apparently today is the last day to send by registered mail, and as for me, on Friday, January 2, I’ll go to the post office as usual and send the parcels the traditional way - we’ll see what happens, how many of them come back and how many don’t... so far I’ve been leaving about 8k a month at the post office; I send a lot, mainly to Germany, Italy and the rest of Europe; the letters for 22 zł worked perfectly, although I have to admit that ordinary international letters for 10 zł arrived even faster and without problems; so GLOBAL for 39 zł is a joke, our post office has no alternative for shipments for 22zł, which is why a problem arises for us eBay sellers; in Germany you can easily send for 8 zł, 12 zł, 20 zł, 33 zł, 56zł and so on, but not here - take it for 39 zł or find a workaround; but for shipments from China to Poland nothing changes of course, they will still be accepted without any complications; I’m not even talking about shipments from Poland to the USA, where apparently the post office still hasn’t announced the tender for customs handling of these shipments, hence the inability to send them; just a mockery of people... I’ll let you know how my shipping goes on Friday; you all write too about how you’re coping; are you changing your price lists, etc...

Just paper.
This is absurd. Packages were getting to Auschwitz during the war....

·9 months agoGood morning.
In registered letters, nothing other than documents will be allowed to be sent. There are also 2 contradictory pieces of information:
1. It will not be possible to send anything anywhere as a registered letter except documents.
2. Within the European Union, it will be possible to send goods in registered letters, because there are no customs procedures here.
Either way, America and Canada will be problematic for things weighing up to 1 kg, because heavier items were sent by Global Express anyway.
For now, there is nothing to replace registered mail for light shipments. It will be interesting to see how all this develops, because so far it is heading in an increasingly worse direction. Let them make it even more difficult, and the Chinese will sell even more.

·10 months agohi,
I’m joining the question. I’m in a similar situation. I was expecting some adjustment to shipping rates, but they completely changed the goods classification. As if temporarily suspending shipments to the US wasn’t enough ;(.
