I'm new here, so I don't fully understand this yet. To start with, I wrote asking for an increase in my limit, and then I got what I wanted, so okay, and now I mainly wanted to list my stock in Germany. I read that it's best to list on Ebay.de, i.e. in the target market for these products, because it will be more visible. Okay, but is that still the case? I made templates on .de and listed my first auctions, but I see them the same on Ebay.pl and I can also make changes through .pl, so that's why I'm asking a question I couldn't find an answer to: does it still make any difference? When I listed similar ones on .pl as a test, I also saw those items from .pl and .de in search results the same way as a guest? Somewhere they wrote that this can happen if the search engine from .de had the time and willingness 🙂 to add items from the .pl portal. Is that true? It would definitely be much more convenient to list from the Polish portal; Google Translate for the .de language isn't convenient.
And also, do Germans like to buy when the glaring shipping option "Aus Polen" is shown.
And last: is there some magic threshold of 10 comments that I’ve read about more than once, that then auctions will rank better, or that you need that many to list on .de or .com? So far on .de I don't have a problem. Despite "0 comments" I can list.

Follow-up question: If I set, truthfully of course, the item location to Poland, does the buyer from Germany have to tick something extra to see items from countries other than Germany? Or is that exactly the point, that if I were listing on .pl, then he (the German) would have to tick something to search on other Ebays than .de? So in other words — if I list on the .de site, is it visible to every user in Germany even though the item location is Poland? Is only the site important, regardless of the location setting (in the product card while listing)?

·3 years agoLocation doesn’t matter. It’s just extra information for the buyer because, for example, not everyone chooses to buy from China, if only because of the longer delivery time. In Germany, there may still be people who don’t like Poland, so it’s better for business not to make a fuss. eBay puts this information there automatically anyway.
The search engine on .de focuses on auctions listed on the local eBay. On eBay.com and eBay in the UK, you can list and, for a small extra fee, make it visible on both. Ebay.pl is a bit cheaper for sellers (as in some other countries), hence eBay’s policy preventing listings from being posted on the cheaper eBay.

·3 years agoYou're talking nonsense, when listing on eb.pl there is an option for which other ebays the listing should appear on and there's no need to use .de — it wasn't always like that, I think they introduced it last year

OP3 years agoI'm new to this, that's why I'm asking. Sorry, but I don't really understand what you wrote... So what, it doesn't matter which domain I list it on? and they made it like that recently? so advice from before 2022 is no longer up to date, right? I tried listing on .pl, but I don't see any place where I can choose where the product will be visible. All the same, isn't it true that the Ebay search engine first lists products from its own domain, and if there is enough time - I don't know if I understand correctly, but isn't it true that the ebay search engine has a time limit after which it stops listing, so if there is enough time it looks through ebays abroad and only then adds results from other domains, which is why it's best to list from the domain of the target buyer?

·3 years agoYou're right. That's how it is, so list on eBay in the country where you want to sell. On eBay in the USA, for a small fee, you can mark visibility on eBay in the UK and vice versa. For now, only these two countries offer this option. On the Polish eBay, there is no such option.

·3 years agoYou did well by listing on the target market’s eBay. The search engine on German eBay will always show your auction in the results, but if you had that auction on Polish eBay, it would not always show it. It would show it if enough time had passed or a user from Germany visited ebay.pl or used advanced search (usually buyers won’t go to that trouble unless they’re looking for some collectible items).
I wouldn’t write sent separately.

The more feedback, the greater the buyers’ trust. A count of 10 is okay, but more is better. 10 used to be the limit, for some reason, after which people from Poland could list on foreign eBays, but eBay stopped messing around with that idea a few years ago.
