I’m new to eBay and, to be honest, I’m a bit lost. I need some simple help. I’ve sent questions and a description of the problem to PL support, but I don’t think we fully understood each other.
We operate as a company on a well-known auction platform in Poland, and we’ve decided to broaden our sales horizons a bit and “move into” eBay.
We have a fairly large and varied assortment. Before we start selling abroad, we want everything properly configured so we can avoid as many beginner mistakes as possible. We registered the account on ebay.pl
We want to offer products to customers in the country and in Europe, and that’s where the problem starts. While logistics costs for domestic shipments are not a problem or complication, distribution and logistics for Europe are.
How do you configure shipping costs? The cost of sending a parcel, up to 30kg, for different regions in Europe, is different. From, let’s say, 45 PLN gross to 120 PLN gross (for the regions that interest us). The logistical limit for shipments is the weight and external dimensions of the package. eBay does not give the possibility to restrict buying options or limit the number of units for purchases in a given offer. For example - we offer children’s laundry detergent - 5kg package. The shipment limit is 30kg, and we don’t mind selling 50 packs of it, but from an economic point of view it’s not profitable at the cost of one shipment. There are products that are very bulky, e.g. sanitary and dressing materials - the weight is light, but with several packages we won’t fit within the max shipment parameters.
How can you differentiate and set different shipping prices for different countries in Europe, and is it possible to set a maximum logistics limit for one shipment?
In the option and payment conditions, for example for “heavy” shipments, we have set 80 PLN for 1 product; a shipment may contain, for example, 4-5 of these products, and we do not want to add any additional costs to the purchase up to that limit, but only after exceeding such a number in the shopping cart.
In the additional item fee field, we set, for example, 5 PLN; after selecting 10 products from this category, 50 PLN is added - okay, but with a flat shipping cost set at 0, this amount is not added. What I mean is, I would like the amount for purchasing an additional item from this offer to be added (+5 PLN), but I want to be sure that when buying another product in the cart, the full shipping cost will not be charged again - so, for example, laundry detergent 80 PLN + e.g. shampoo 80 PLN. (examples, just examples 🙂 )
Please help, because I’m banging my head against a wall a bit here - and here I tip my hat to those from Poznań, because while I have many complaints about how Alledrogo works, their logistics are based on a definitely simpler scheme.

·2 years agoHello, I think I have a similar problem and I don't quite know how it works. Can you set a product weight here so that once the costs are exceeded, another shipment gets charged? Right now I've set up many product variants and I'm stuck.
