I want to open a bank account in Germany
I want to avoid Paypal, which is expensive and eats up half of my profit. I came up with the idea of opening a bank account in Germany, but I don’t know which bank would open an account for a non-resident of Germany. Maybe there are some online banks for non-residents or something? Please help or suggest ways to receive payments from Germans other than Paypal.
Best regards

·3 years agoSince the post (2009) the situation has changed because now eBay handles the financial side. The seller can do without PayPal.
Opening an account in Germany is not necessary.

Could you let me know where in Germany I can open a bank account without being registered in Germany.
I am Polish, I live in Poland and I need an account for settling sales on German eBay.
Thank you for any help.

crypto calculate it carefully ... from a deposit in euros PayPal will take 2.9% and then on the currency conversion it'll grab another 3.5% I calculated it exactly on our side ... you need to add another 7% for PayPal fees otherwise you might be in for a surprise ...
and as for an account in DE there are no problems with that ... we opened ours in Frankfurt with DB and it works very well because we can withdraw PLN at a good rate from a Polish DB ATM
