Hello,
I won an auction for some items. The package will be shipped from the USA and I understand that VAT and CUSTOMS DUTY will probably be charged during customs clearance. The problem is that I don’t really know who the package will be handed over to in Poland. Will it be Poczta Polska or maybe some courier? I read online that the postal service automatically handles customs clearance only for shipments valued up to 150 EURO, and above that amount it is necessary to grant Poczta Polska power of attorney to act as an indirect representative? The value of this shipment is about 616 dollars including shipping. So my question is whether I need to report anything कहीं, or is everything handled by eBay? If it matters, the shipping method listed in the listing is USPS Priority Mail International (and it seems to me it was the same when paying for the order), however now when I check the shipment tracking I have eBay Standard Delivery.

·2 years agoThe parcel was sent by post and the post will deliver it. If they add any fees, then you will have to pay them upon collection in order to receive the parcel.
You don't have to report anything anywhere. The VAT has most likely already been collected by eBay at checkout. If they charge VAT again at the border, you should send proof of payment to eBay and then eBay will refund the VAT they collected.
The name of the shipment changing does happen, and I wouldn't make a big deal of it. It is the result of differences between scanners or an operator error.
