Good day. I am planning to buy an item from abroad on eBay for the first time. Specifically: I am a private individual, and the item will be bought in Spain, also from a private individual. In addition to the cost of the item and shipping (already stated in the listing), will I have to pay any tax? (or does eBay automatically include its amount in this particular listing, and thus its payment is the seller's responsibility). I would ask for an answer from the person/people who have made similar transactions recently. Thank you in advance for any responses.

OP2 years agoHmm... and will there be a way to “preview” the amount of the tax before I finally make the purchase? In other words: if I click “Buy now,” am I presented with a done deal and then, regardless of the amount of tax shown to me, I have to pay, or is there a way to back out of the purchase if I decide that buying the item with the added tax will become not very worthwhile?
