Hello, I would like to buy on eBay from Virginia, United States:
I have a question about payment, how much will I pay after clicking BUY NOW.
Price: 336,17 zł + Shipping 84,97 zł + Import fees $27,92 ???
Just 336,17zł ??? + 84,97zł ???
Is this way of buying from the USA - International Priority Shipping to Poland, safe
Please give me some advice, tips. This is my first purchase on eBay.

·12 years agoInternational Priority Shipping is a shipment in the Global shipping program (in short, the global shipping program MANDATORY in the USA)
as I see it, goods bought through KT for about: $100 + $25 (shipping) + VAT/customs duty just under $28 (calculated from the price of the goods)
and with a KT purchase you will pay about $153 ===> price in zlotys 505 PLN (taking into account the unfavorable PLN to $ exchange rate maybe a bit more)
the shipment is tracked until the USA border---- > then in Poland it gets another number and usually some courier delivers it, not PocztaPolska

as for the advantages of this shipping:
it is tracked so it should arrive
delivery to Poland within 2 weeks
drawback:
the MANDATORY upfront payment of VAT/customs duty because customs won't always add duty for a single item when the value is $100 (bulk purchases are another story)

as for the mandatory Global Shipping program:
back in the day there was regular Priority with tracking and an option to clear the package in Poland --- for me it makes no sense to pay "VAT/DUTY UP FRONT" because Customs Office won't always add it for you, and why add 24% extra MANDATORILY.
First Class from USPS is twice as fast as Priority (for me, paradoxically, FCUSPS is 5-7 business days (and it is an unregistered shipment)and Priority 10 days + the confusion with a "different" tracking number)

No one forces the buyer to use Global Shipping Program.
From your post it sounds like that option is no longer there. That option was, is, and will be there If you don't want to pay customs duty, then you look for a seller who isn't in this program.

OP12 years agoEven paying import fees upfront, I still buy the item a lot cheaper than in Poland 🙂
I’m still having trouble paying through PayPal, I’ve probably tried everything already:
-verified account,
-eBay linked with PayPal
-there is money in PayPal, there’s $50 more than I need to pay
-I changed the currency from PLN to dollars
and I still get this message:
"""This payment cannot be completed, and your account has not been charged. Please contact the merchant for further information.
Unfortunately, we are unable to process the payment through your PayPal account at this time. Please return to the merchant's website and try to use another payment method (if available)."
Please help !?!

OP12 years agoOk. I managed to buy the item and pay for it, but I still have a question: after how long should I get the tracking number
for the shipment ??? The seller wrote that they would send the goods on May 27th, on Tuesday, and I still haven't received anything. ???
