I bought two items a few days ago from a seller in the USA. to his bad luck, not many people bid and I managed to buy them quite cheaply. Additionally, in the auction he had set free worldwide shipping - he's a professional seller. While tracking the number provided for the paid transaction, just yesterday the status appeared - delivered in LA. The seller claims he sent it using some super cheap option because he wasn't able to sell it well and that this is normal because the package supposedly reached the transshipment point from which it will continue on its way - I am supposed to be patient and wait 14-28 days.
Have you come across such combined shipping? What do you think about this unusual situation?

·2 years agoProbably sent via the Global Shipping Program. A service offered by Ebay to sellers, I think only in the USA and maybe now in the UK too. The fee for international shipping is like local shipping. Delivery takes longer, and the carrier is only known after it leaves the shipping center.

thank you for your reply - I checked the type of service that was purchased under the given number and it was the service: USPS Ground Advantage will feature 2-5 day service standards for packages up to 70 pounds. in the meantime the seller canceled the purchase... a nice way to handle things - I wrote to him that I checked thedetails...
below the level of a professional seller - I reported the matter on Ebay - I won bids on valuable items and a refund does not satisfy me
