Problem with getting a refund for a defective binoculars

I bought binoculars from this auction.

After receiving the package, it turned out that the binoculars are out of collimation and have optical defects.

The seller refused to refund the money in exchange for returning the item.

PayPal ruled the dispute in the seller’s favor and closed it.

What should I do? I lost 180 euros.

Strange because usually eBay decides in favor of the buyer. Did you mark it as not as described, did you attach photos?

Now it's too late, but you can appeal. Somewhere there should be a link to do it: in the email, in the dispute details

Yes, I marked it as not matching the description. I provided a photo, but it doesn't add anything because you can't show the optical defect of binoculars in a picture.

Open a dispute on eBay for a purchase not as described

if you paid by card, file a claim with the card issuer

I already did that, and after opening the dispute in PayPal, eBay closed my dispute. PayPal ruled in favor of the seller and also closed it.

I paid through PayPal funded by a bank transfer.
