Double VAT and refusal of a refund from eBay

I have a problem getting back customs fees that were paid twice.
eBay charged VAT at the time of purchase, but the postal service charged the fees again.
Leaving aside the fact that the listing said there would be no additional charges.
I sent eBay the postal receipt and a photo of the parcel with the fee information, but they refused the refund, writing that I had not paid any customs fees at the time of purchase. ??? So what was the fee listed on the item receipt on eBay, labeled VAT, for?
There is another problem: the parcel that arrived to me has a different number than on eBay. On the original shipping label, there is another one from Deutsche Post pasted on. It does have the item name on it, the same as on eBay, and there is also an eBay printout, but as you can see eBay treated it as a different parcel, because on that label there is no information that VAT was charged, only the item price itself. So probably for that reason they wrote to me that I had not paid VAT.
Can anyone suggest how I can solve this problem? The amount of the additional fees is quite high.
Is there any chance at all of getting back a fee that was charged unlawfully?

·2 years agoWrite to eBay explaining it like here, maybe attach photos. Keep trying until you reach a person, not an artificial intelligence.

OP2 years agoA person, not an automated system, replied to me three times.
They sent me to the customs office in Poland.
Of course I’ll file a complaint at the post office in Poland, because according to the information on some law firm’s website, the post office is obliged to return fees collected unlawfully. It’s just that it will take time... and waste valuable time.
Anyway, I won’t be using this FRAUDULENT portal, which is ebey, anymore, and I’ll advise everyone against it.
